I have been a natural health practitioner and weight loss coach for over 30 years. I have been employed with nutrition house for the past 15 years as a Regional Director and Training specialist and have been blessed to work with many franchisees and sales specialists as a trainer and franchisee liaison. As much as I focus on a low carb weight loss program, I have recently expanded my blog to discuss topics about natural health and how to treat your health issues naturally. I have followed the medical reports regarding the safety and effectiveness of many diets and believe that keeping your carb (sugar) intake at a low is the healthiest for you. It has shown over the years to help with diabetes, heart disease, inflammation and much more. For years, we have been brain washed to reduce fat and eat more carbs (sugar) which I believe resulted in obesity, especially in children, which has sky rocketed over the years. Clearly, something isn’t working and there is a huge disconnect. Good fats….again…GOOD fats are imperative for good health. Yes, reducing the bad, trans fats is a healthy thing to do but you need to eat good fats every single day. These would include avocados, fish and fish oils, olive oil, coconut oil, MCT oil etc. It can be quite challenging to get these fats in your diet every day so supplementing with omega 3 capsules or liquid is important.
If you haven’t read my blog posts yet, low carb, moderate protein diets work. How? Our number one fuel that our body uses is sugar, or glucose. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING is a sugar with the exception of meat and fat. So, vegetables, fruits and starches ALL BREAK DOWN INTO SUGAR!
